King was born in Sanilac County (Mich.) on March 5, 1900. She attended CMU, graduating officially in 1953. She taught school in the Applegate (Sanilac County, Mich.) area for 21 years and in Macomb County (Mich.) for one year. King married and moved to Ohio where she taught for 12 years before retiring from the Ohio Public School system. She retired to Brooksville (Fla.), where she died on Jan. 6, 1995.
